When I started aliciainwonderland.net, it served as a creative outlet for me, while working full time in Marketing. However, I haven’t written any content on Marketing. Well, I am merging my two worlds today and will begin writing more marketing content. Don’t worry, style and fashion will still be the main focus on this blog, but I am hoping to provide helpful advice and tips for fellow marketers. I’m kicking off my new marketing category with ten useful websites for social media marketing!
Social Media Managers are multi-faceted. We are creative, analytical, and design-oriented, and savvy. We possess a balance between creativity and analytical skills. It takes a level of art and design to create engaging and cohesive social content and a science to analyze data and understand what your audience is resonating with and what is not.
Let’s face it; we’re pretty awesome! But if you’re creating content for small businesses, it can be challenging to develop a content strategy, a brand voice, and image. So to ease some of that stress, I’ve put together some of my favorite websites that make social media marketing easier.
Helpful Websites for Creating Content
- Canva is the queen in creating social media graphics. With easy to customize templates, you’ll be able to create great-looking graphics for multiple social platforms.
- Yes, you could spend 15 min removing the background of an image on photoshop. Or you can upload the image to remove.bg and remove the background in 5 seconds, saving so much time!
- Avatar illustrations can be used in everything, from social posts to websites and blog post graphics. The Ultimate Avatar library has tons of royalty-free avatars to use for commercial and personal use.
- Adding icons to your social graphics can be used to add some design elements and make your social graphics more engaging and easier to read. There are multiple icon libraries out there, but my personal favorite is Flat Icon because you can edit the color of the icon to match your branding.
- If you’re creating social media templates from scratch for your company to use, pairing fonts can feel daunting without experience in graphic design. Font pairings help you find fonts that pair well and fits your brand’s image
- Similar to pairing fonts, without a graphic design background, it can be challenging to find a color scheme for your social media templates. Coolors.co makes it so easy to find a color scheme to create a cohesive and beautiful feed.
- Grammarly is a life-saver! Although technically not a website, Grammarly is a plugin that not only spells checks grammar for you, but it also grades your writing based on engagement, clarity, and delivery.
Helpful Websites for Scheduling and Analyzing Content
- Planoly is my favorite social planning tool. It’s so easy to plan and schedule your social posts. With the paid version, you’re also able to see advanced social analytics
- If you’re creating social content in advance (which I highly recommend), Facebook’s Creator Studio is super helpful in scheduling content and auto-posting it on Facebook and Instagram for free.
- Social insights is an awesome website to analyze how your social content is performing, finding relevant hashtags, and. It does require a subscription to use, but they offer a free 14-day trial.
