Last week, my mom and I had a girls mini vacation in the amazingly unique Miami. Since I started working at Disney World, I had met several people including some awesome friends who always talked about how different Miami was to the rest of the world. To no surprise Miami is unlike any other city in the U.S. Throughout the week, I found myself wanting to soak up and learn about all of the culture.
Our vacation started on a beautifully sunny day with a Pina Coladas by the beach. Although my mom doesn’t like/knows how to swim, she enjoyed the warm ocean and the relaxing waves.
Day 2: One of my favorite part of our vacation was that every morning we woke up after a peaceful sleep and could enjoy a full breakfast just a few floors down in our hotel. Day 2 called for Nutella pancakes, fruit, mango juice, and fresh coffee. Feeling full of energy and caffeine we were off to explore little Havana, Miami’s famous cuban neighborhood were we had a delicious cuban sandwich and a cuban coffee “un cortadito.”
Day 3: It was a great idea that we started of our vacation by going to the beach because the other days it rained all day long. Of course, florida. However, a little rain wouldn’t stop us and we explored Miami Design District, which was full of art sculptures and high fashion stores.
Day 4: On the last day of our vacation we visited my favorite little corner of Miami, Espanola Way. Where we found the closing thing to Mexican Food that I have had since I left Texas.
