For the longest time, I have been a watch person (I even have a “Watch tan” to prove it) and ever since the Apple Watch was released to the public, I’ve been wanting to purchase one so when I saw that the Apple Watch would be on Major sale this past Black Friday, I knew I had to order one.
I have now had the Apple Watch for about 3 months and I love it, so much so that I wear it everyday. If you’re think about joining the smart watch team here are a few reasons why I love my Apple Watch:
It encourages me to be active everyday.
The Apple Watch keeps an activity log of how many steps you take, minutes of exercise, and standing breaks. You can step up a goal of how active you want to be and it reminds you to stand for a minute after sitting for 50 minutes which is amazing for people like me who sit at a desk for the majority of their day. You can also create a goal of exercising for a few minutes everyday and helps you keep track of your performance and progress
I don’t use my phone as much:
I now look at my watch when i have to check the weather, time, or a new message/email instead of my phone. This has been amazing because it helps me stay focused on work instead being tempted to go down the social media black hole on my phone. This is also super helpful for not pulling out your phone when you’re with your significant other, friends, or family and seem rude.
It reminds you to breathe.
Okay, I know this sounds super strange but taking deep breaths throughout the day will not only help you relieve stress but help you restore your energy and focus. Actually here are 10 (2 minute) habits that will change your life from a Create and Cultivate blog post that I recently read.
There are so many other reason why I love my apple watch (like the fact that Minnie Mouse is one of the faces) but there are my favorite.
