Spring is in full bloom in Austin, around the city there are beautiful patches of sweet-smelling jasmine. Like this nature made archway of jasmine that just casually grows on the sidewalk. Isn’t earth so wonderful?
Is there a more perfect print for spring, other than gingham? (Well maybe florals) Gingham makes me want to pack a picnic and sit under a shady tree and enjoy the sunshine. This periwinkle blue gingham dress from JCrew is perfection and I love the buttons that run all the way down the dress. I paired it with espadrilles wedges from last year and a straw bag from Gap. Gingham is already a huge trend this year, so below are a few of my favorite gingham pieces for spring and summer:
A few weeks ago, my friend Luisa and I took some pictures in the Clarksville neighborhood in Austin-just a bit west of downtown Austin. Clarksville feels like a little village escape from the bustle and hustle of downtown. If you’re ever in Austin (or live here) I definitely recommend visiting Josephine’s for a delicious and healthy brunch, stopping by the Outdoor Voices store, and walking or biking around the quaint neighborhood. There are a lot of homes that have been turned into boutiques and restaurants so you may find a hidden gem.
Now that it is warm enough and the days are long, I am planning on riding my bike to explore the city as much as possible. What are you looking forward to this Spring?
