After about four months without any travel, I’m back in Austin, TX, after spending a beautiful weekend at the loveliest bed and breakfast, Rose Hill Manor, with amazing Texas Hill Country views.
About Rose Hill Manor:
Rose Hill Manor is so beautiful and pretty secluded, it’s 20 min drive away from Fredericksburg, TX. It made my grandmillennial style dreams come true; each room has a unique name and decor. We stayed in the Sunset room, and it was beautifully decorated with chic floral wallpaper, traditional furniture, and the sunroom had tons of natural light. From the sunroom, you stepped out into the upper balcony, which had the most amazing view of Texas Hill Country.
My most favorite part of staying at Rose Hill Manor was the amazing breakfast that was brought to our room each morning. The first morning we had french toast and the second morning we had a quiche.
What to do in Fredericksburg:
- Visit a peach orchard: In Texas, Fredericksburg is known for growing the most delicious peaches. On our first full day, we visited Jenschke orchards in search of the famous Fredericksburg peaches, and we had the most fantastic peach cobbler that I’ve had in my life.
- Visit a winery: Frederiskburg is Texas Wine Country, and there are so many beautiful Wineries and Vineyards, just a quick drive away. I recommend checking Fredericksburg online to check a winery before visiting it.
- Have a picnic on the lawn: We picked up the cutest homemade picnic to go from Pontotoc Vineyard and enjoyed it on the grass during golden hour.
- Enjoy a glass of wine on the patio and enjoy the sunset: After the loveliest picnic, we headed up to our balcony and watched the 4th of July fireworks.
* A note on Covid-19 Precautions
This was my first trip since the pandemic started, and I am so glad that Rose Hill Manor took really good precautions. They are only open on the weekends with a 2-night minimum, so they could spend the week disinfecting the rooms, and the virus dies after 72 hours. They also made us bring our own pillows. The check-in process is completely contactless, and the masks are required in the hallways. We pretty much didn’t interact with anyone and overall felt very safe. I definitely recommend taking a much-deserved getaway to this bed and breakfast in the Texas Hill Country.
